“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”- [1 Peter 2:9]
There’s a lot that goes on in a teenager’s life- schoolwork, friends, relationships, trends and family. There’s a lot of awesome moments, experiences and first-times- think about entering high school, catching feelings, making friends, going to socials and proms, and getting more freedom. Once in a while, you experience a couple of slumps, too, and sometimes feel insecure, misunderstood, or left out. All of this is hard enough as it is, and maintaining a close personal relationship with God isn’t always easy.
This blog, in a nutshell, targets Christian youth who are trying to find their identity in Christ, discover God’s will and purpose for their lives, and live a life that coincides with the Word of God- especially in a day and age that is so morally corrupt, and contradictory to the Bible. So many sins are now considered acceptable, and peer pressure only serves to validate them.
As the youth of the Holy Nation (1 Peter 2:9), we should strive to resist temptation and our youthful impulses (2 Timothy 2:22), confidently love and embrace our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and prioritize God and His kingdom above everything else in our lives (Matthew 6:33).
A blog for teens, by a teen.
